March 2014 Bukamunda groundwork report
Dad, I started my journey on Friday
evening, the first taxi [16 passenger van] to Kampala, then the second one from Kampala to
Kamuli town, then a final taxi to Bunamanda village. I arrived 11pm
and some of the organizing pastors were waiting to receive me by the
road side. I was received with a warm welcome and grate joy by the
pastors and elders. This village is found along a dusty village road
where dangerous old taxi vans are being
used for transport. They load up to 25 passenger instead of the regulation
14. Can you imagine 4 passagers at the front seat plus the driver and no one complains, because its the only taxi available. I wanted to take a
photo but they could not allow me to take a photo for fear that I might use the photo to report them to traffic personnel or some
one who wants to report them to the police.
Taxi fatigue
That night before we went to sleep,I realized that there were two women pastors who had come all the way from Gulu to meet with me and share with me the situation and the great need for BFU in village churches there. After they were being told about our ministry by a friend who attended our November Ntaala conference, I had a talk with this women pastors and the old woman pastor told me that she was staying in her we built home in Kampala with her late husband who was a big high ranked man in the Uganda army with all their children, some of them working others studding in good schools. She used to fellowship with, One of the big Churches in Kampala, until one day after the death of her husband when she felt a strong conviction to visit Gulu she went there with her spiritual daughter from their fellowship in Kampala. They first went her young sister's home in Gulu town. Her sister is a pastor's wife and they have a big church in Gulu town but felt not comfortable still until they went to the deep bush villages where they found many people who had resettled from the displaced camp due to the Cony war who are living in a very poor and desperate life. When she preached to them the gospel, many of them accepted Christ and some were saved from the camps but there was no Church in any nearby village to fellowship from. She then went and shared with her sister and her husband in Gulu town but they told her that they can't go the the village because they can't bear the kind of life there.

She then went and shared with her sister and her husband in Gulu town but they told her that they can't go the the village because they can't bear the kind of life there.
She then came back to Kampala share the whole situation with her
pastor. The pastor told her that their ministry does not believe in
ministering in the poor villages, neither do they delegate any of their people
to go and suffer in the village. He also warned her never to think of
going to begin any fellowship in the village because they do not allow
women pastors but she could not quench the burning conviction and the concern
she had for the villages. So she told her Children that she was going to
serve God in Gulu by ministering to the village people.
She
then went with her spiritual daughter and began a village church which
fellowships under a mango tree. They told God that if truly according to
your word, women are not to lead/pastor a church, then we shall pastor
this church and preach the gospel in these villages until you bring male
preachers who have a heart for the village people. They pleaded with me
so much to go and teach in Gulu.
We then had a good night and then on Saturday at 10;00 am our ground work meeting started.
After
giving them a full and detailed information about NTFI BFU, every pastor
was got very excited and counted it a great blessing to host BFU in
their village churches. All these pastors and elders including the
district and sub-county pastors fellowship leader who were in the
meeting believed not that there is a ministry like bibles BFU having a
heart felt concern for the village churches without looking for any
gain. They also told me that all the city preachers who come to them
preach only prosperity. Some time they begin by teaching right gospel but
always end by collecting a huge seed faith offering and challenging
them to leave the village and go to the cities if they want to be true
savants of God so that he can bless them with riches. This pastors
have a saying which they tell to the village pastors; They say that being
in the village is a curse and dreaming or having a vision that you are
going to minister in the village means that you are heading to terrible
down fall spiritually and even materially. They even douted if really I
mean whatever I was tell them about our ministry. I assured them that
whatever I say is true and that is who we are and what we do and preach.
We had 30 pastors/elders who came from 12 different churches. We then all
agree that the conference will begin on 25th-29 of this month from 10am to 5pm
every day.
council of Pastors and Elders
We then drafted a budget with a target of a minimum number of
people whom we expect to attend the conference. Due to too much rain in
this season,we will need a big tent to use as shelter, not our usual
tarp shade . Tents will coast 300,000=, 200kgs of maize flour costing
340,000, 100kgs of cassava flour costing 100,000, 100kgs of beans
costing 250,000, 10litres of cooking oil costing 50,000 and ingredient
and other small items. [ total of 435 dollars U.S.]
They are going to contribute some beans and posho and other items
to the best of their ability which may probably cover up to half of the
total budget or more. Although its not a season of food, its a planting
season.so most people don't have food in the house. We can do whatever
we are able to contribute. All best on our ability. Son

The taxi being a very old van, it was linking and we had to cover ourselves with polythene paper to avoid getting wet.The van is made to cary 14 passangers but a village taxi caries up to 27passagers plus many lugages inside and on the roof rack.We wanted to take some photos but we were stoped the the taxi operators.
We then arived safely in the village around 9pm.It was sill raining but we found the organizing pastors/elders waiting by the road side to recieve us. With great joy we were recieved and after reviewing our final planing/programe for the conference and having super,we had nite rest in a village hut together with other pastors who had come from distant villages.

They were all blessed and felt so challeged to learn this truth and asked many questions. All they new was that which they were taut by their pastor, bishops etc.the seed faith offering, and all sorts of maniplation. But when we came to tith, and the pastors realized that am teaching contrary to their tith doctrine, most of them began to oppose the teaching saying tham am gonna cause confusion.

MARCH 2014 Bunamanda village, Balawoli sub-county,Kamuli district.
I started my journey on Monday 24th in the morning from Entebbe with all my stufs and the bibles packed as usual for our mision.I had also caried the projector for showing BFU power point,Jesus film,American heretics. Unfortunatly I lost the projector during my transit from Entebbe taxi to Kamuli taxi due to the heavy trafic and confusion in Kampala. But finaly I was joined by Joshua then we managed to boad our second taxi to Kamuli. We got very disturbed but we had to let it go and we are cotinue with our journey. We passed by the book stores and perchesed the remaining bibles, we now have 70 copies all together in addition to the 30 already given in January. I also had to buy some clothes. Our bible bag ''the big blue bag'' is always very heavy and make the boda boda and taxi guy too suspecious, they always think its loaded with money or a bomb or something.

Am so determin to press on and pay every price ane bear whatever it
cost to finish the race and fight a good fight just like my great
apostle and hero PAUL. We are still traveling about 25 miles to go. We
are in village highway taxi loaded beyond emagination as usual, its
raining heavily and the taxi is linking as if there is no roof. Am
sitting near the window and trying to use a polethene bag to cover
myself but in vain.
Am praising God with great joy for chosing me to carry the gospel to
this far end of the world. What a blessing to understand that there are
God's men and women of great value in such places and to be part of them
and their ministries. Dad, thank you so much for helping me esterbish
myeself in this great calling. Thanks to all our donors as well. Immiedietly after we arived in Kamuli at around 7pm,and entered into the village taxi, the rain stared falling heavly. Then Josua handled a topic on Salvation by the grace through the blood and cross of our lord Jesus Christ. He also taugt about the holy spirit and warned them seriously against false teachers. It was a great day and every one was blessed. They asked many question and the holy spirit helped us to answer through the scriptures.

a tough lesson on New Testament giving

James 5:14-15
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
I boldly taut the truth and challenged them to make a careful search and see if there is any where in the scripture where the new testament church is told to tith.
After the conference, every pastor/elder got concerned and begin searching for the scripture to support the tith but all in vain. We had about six pastor who attended our November conference in Ntaala, Buyende district last year. They traved all the way from Buyende to learn more. They testifies as being one of those pastor who opposed/rejected this truth when we first preached in Ntaala last November but when they went back and did a carelful study of the scriptures, they realised their error. Now they feel they need to learn more and more sound doctrine.
On our third day, some overseer/district dinomination leaders were called. They were told that we are causing confusion by teaching falsely about Tith, teaching that New testament church should not pay tith. When I stood up to teach, those overseers and some of the pastors became very furious and wanted to drag me out of the pulpit. They stood up and begin to urgue with loud voice. But the five pastors from Buyende district, some few pastors in the conference and most of the elders who were eager to know this unusual teaching about tith also stood up and made a serious decission that the teaching should go on.
So after the hot moment, a few people walked away and everyone else sat down we continued with the teaching. We allowed no peoples ideas and plain words of men but purely scriptures. From then, everyone was challenged to begin studing the scriptures carefuly by themselfs. Some of the elders realised some serious truth which their pastors, leaders and teachers don't teach them. We then handled other topics like the coming of our lord Jesus Christ, gathering of the elects, great tribulation, foot washing and praying for the sick.We also gave them a starn warning against all kinds of false teachings of the word/faith movement and alike.

SMALL BEGINNINGS
toward June conference
April 2014
Zech 4:10a
10 "Who shall despise the day of small beginnings?"
Dad, This time I called Joshua to come to Entebbe on Tuesday evening then on Wednesday morning we started our Journey to Lusenke in kayunga district. I wanted Joshua to help because I had some extension cords and other art pieces which I had to deliver in Kampala before we procced to Kayunga. The pieces were wooden signs/wall hangings, key holders, serving tray and table marts.
We then boaded our second pasenger van (taxi) to kayunga, then took a boda-boda [hired motor bike] to Lusenke village 23 miles from Kayunga town. We were welcomed with great joy by the pastors and elders from Lusenke and those who had come all the way from Namayingo district to represent other pastors and elders in our June conference groundwork.
Twenty three miles down a dusty road
Twenty three miles down a dusty road
Next morning on Thursday, We had a wonderful ground work meeting at the Lusenke Church house. The reason why we chose to have the meeting in Lusenke is because they are under going serious challege and need much encouragement and help. Its one of the many small village churches found in the remotest/bush villages where no preacher is intrested in going. Our presence there was a great encouragement to them. This fellowship is being led by a team of elderly women. They pleaded with me to put their fellowship under BFU to lead, oversee and help deligate a rightful postor/leader who can spend some time with them, training, teaching and guiding them in the truth of Gods word. We had a great discusion about our June conference. The pastors/elders from Namayingo town council and the four nearby sub-counties have been asking us to give them also the opportunity to host BFU teaching conference in Namayingo town. This is a small town which used to be part of Busia district near Uganda-Kenya boader. So we have accepted their request and in our discusion, we agreed that the conference runs for 5days begining June 24th-28th.

We're expecting little food contribution from the local organizer becouse their food crops are not yet ready for hervesting. I will have another ground work meeting with all the organizers on Saturday next week for more planing and draft a budget as well. We then traveled back safely after the meeting. Son-----Jimmy
